All About Tea
Pu-Erh-Tea
It is tea Jim, but not as we know it. Pu-erh really is the most astonishing product. This tea is not just a semi fermented tea but actually improves with age. The tea is made by withering the leaves in the normal way and is left to ferment for about 70% of the time. At that stage you have made red tea as it is called. It is the next bit that is so interesting. The tea is wrapped in sacking and buried for about three years and is then dug up and ready for serving. Some Pu-erh tea is considerably older than that.
Why go to all that trouble? Well the taste for one thing. A properly made pot of Pu-Erh is the most delicious refreshing drink. It is also rumoured to increase the metabolic rate and increase activity levels. The tea also has a number of celebrity fans who are rumoured to be passionate about it. Our customers do give us positive reports about both taste and energy levels.

Dear Customers
I am off on annual leave for a couple of weeks so the online shops are shut and will reopen on Friday 17th September. The office will reopen on Tuesday 21st September so this will be the first day that tea orders will be despatched.Hopefully all my regular customers have stocked up but if you are new to the site I am afraid all you can do is window shop and have a good read!
Now where is that suitcase and sun screen???? Oh and of course must take some of my own tea!!!
More news in the autumn.
Regards
Kay Healey
